Innovation leader Ron Price wonders why people avoid innovation—what stops us from seriously pursuing innovation?

Episode Transcript:

Why do so many people avoid a serious pursuit of innovation? Maybe it’s because they think it’s beyond them. They think it’s somebody else’s job. Maybe they feel their ideas are not good enough, or they don’t see a clear pathway. Or maybe they think they’re not creative enough to be successful with innovation. But the reality is, everyone’s an innovator. We ALL can learn how to innovate. We can all make it a part of our job by looking for opportunities to improve products, processes, the way we relate to the marketplace, or the big ways we serve. We can ALL develop good ideas and we can all see a clear pathway. Why do people avoid a serious pursuit of innovation? Because they don’t realize that down deep they are already an innovator. So keep innovating!
