Getting more results from your ideas can happen with three simple steps. Ron Price says first, you must become an Idea Factory.

Episode Transcript:

How can I get more results from my ideas? This is Ron Price, co-author of The Innovator’s Advantage. Well, you can become a masterful idea manager. Just like you might think of a manager of your finances, why not become a manager of your ideas? First, think about becoming an Idea Factory—the producer, the manufacturer of ideas—and ask yourself the question, “How might I increase my production of ideas?” For me, it’s taking walks early in the morning, and I just start collecting ideas by transcribing them into my phone while I walk. However you do it, you begin to become a masterful idea manager by becoming an Idea Factory. Next, you have to put your ideas into a bank. Put them somewhere on a list that you can go back to and keep adding to over and over and over. In time, the larger your idea bank becomes, the more prepared you are to make great investments. The third step to becoming a masterful idea manager is to set aside time to make idea investments. So, become an Idea Factory, invest your ideas into a bank, and become an idea investor. Until next time, keep innovating!
