Dr. Andy Johnson: Being innovative is really one of the most important things to be in business today, in my estimation. One of the obstacles, really, is just generating creative ideas and it’s this propensity that some of us have to sensor ideas before we even let them have life. For me, I think what’s been helpful is to realize, not just in innovation but in a lot of ways, the way that I need other more creative or free-flowing people. What I appreciate the most, I think, about the model that Ron Price and Dr. Evans Baiya are advancing is this stage model which is unique among the innovation literature, and what I appreciate the most is hearing Evans or Ron talking about Stage 1 or Stage 3, where they shine, and Stage 2 where they don’t. So it really creates some good validation for my place in the process, and I think, as somebody who talks a lot about introverted leaders, I think this book is really helpful to put introverts into the innovation process. We really are critical and working together with introverts and extroverts we can achieve the most innovative results.
