Ron Price describes the importance of the Develop Stage and continuing to come up with new ideas to test.

Episode Transcript

What happens in Stage Three, the Develop Stage? This is Ron Price, co-author of The Innovator’s Advantage. In Stage Three, we continue to generate ideas, to combine them in new ways, to test our ideas. We begin to build prototypes and run experiments—and we continue to remind ourselves that the best ideas are probably yet in the future. And, we are pursuing these through Idea Factories, Idea Banks, Idea Portfolios. Instead of zeroing in and thinking that we have the one solution that’s going to work, we continue to look for multiple solutions because we understand that the Develop Stage is all about continuing to learn, to experiment, to discover, and eventually to come with a product, a process, a position statement, or a new paradigm that’s going to create new value that’s worth creating. This is what happens at Stage Three, the Development Stage. So, until next time, keep innovating!
