What should happen in Stage Six, the Scale Stage? This is Ron Price, co-author of The Innovator’s Advantage. Now, we’ve come to the creation of value and how do we scale it. Yes, scaling means how do we accelerate our business model to its full potential? How do we provide support for a large-scale growth plan, for expanding our market, for a competitive analysis, for continuous improvement, and for operational design and efficiency? These are all parts of scaling, but in addition to this, when we reach Stage Six, the Scale Stage, it’s time for us to begin and think back all the way to Stage One again, the stage of Identify. Identify what new opportunities open up to us because of the innovation that we’ve achieved to this point. Identify new problems that need to be solved, identify new stakeholders that we can serve—all of this is the business of Stage Six, the Stage of Scale. So, until next time, keep innovating.
