The Verify Stage is about expanding your ideas. What’s the minimum value product tested and verified?

Episode Transcript

What happens in Stage Four, the Verify Stage? This is Ron Price, co-author of The Innovator’s Advantage. The Verify Stage is continuing to create ideas, to be proven, adjusted, and expanded that were started in Stage Three, the Development Stage. As a matter of fact, sometimes ideas get sent back to Stage Three again for continued development on solutions. In Stage Four, the Verify Stage, we’re looking for what is the minimum value product, tested and verified with end-users’ or stakeholders’ expectations in mind. And do we have a strong business case for this product? And are we moving toward genuine value in the eyes of the people who will be receiving that value? So, the Verify Stage is where we’re verifying everything that we’ve learned through stages one, two, and three, and sometimes it gets us ready to move forward to the next stage. Other times, the Verify Stage is the time for us to do a reality check and send things back so that we can create lasting value. So, until next time, keep innovating!
